Comrades is a DLC for Final Fantasy XV. An expansion pack called Comrades will introduce online multiplayer for 4 players. The expansion will introduce new intense battles letting players explore the party dynamics. As with the 3 story episodes, it will be available standalone or included in the Season Pass. This page will be updated when more is known.

 

Comrades

The DLC is receiving an online test from August 3rd - 8th for Season Pass and Digital Premium Edition owners. It will included the following:

Square Enix has provided a breakdown of what is going to be available in the test, compared to what the full version will look like. You will see you won’t be playing as the boy band, instead you’ll be creating and customizing your own character.

  Test Version Full Version
Playable Characters Create, control, and save up to eight avatars. Develop avatars using experience gained from defeating enemies and completing quests. Updates will allow you to also play as Noctis, Gladiolus, Prompto, and Ignis.
Avatars Customize avatars with elements limited to the test version. Unlock customization elements with item purchases at outposts and quest rewards. Updates will add even more elements.
Outposts Begin at test version base camp and play through a custom tutorial. Experience a city with much more than the test version base camp.
Weapons Choose from katana, club, dagger, and shuriken weapons. Attack patterns vary from those of Noctis. Enjoy an expanded arsenal featuring polearm, crossbow, and shield weapons as well, which also feature different attack patterns. Weapons come with preset abilities and experience points, and can be leveled up by meeting certain conditions.
Royal Sigils Invoke the powers of sovereigns for your avatar with this new feature. Equip one of four default royal sigils in the test version. Collect and equip royal sigils as you progress. The wide array of enhancements provided by the royal sigils will play a key role in cooperative multiplayer combat.
Quests Choose from one of three quests, with up to three legs to each quest. All players will be matched online in the test version. Explore quests with storylines as well as singleplayer quests. Join up to three other players online with a subscription to PlayStation®Plus or an Xbox Live Gold membership, or fight alongside three AI companions.
Meals Retrieve one ingredient per person per quest, and have the camp cook prepare a meal afterward. Encounter more cooks and enjoy a wider range of meal-based boosts.
Meteorshards Receive meteorshards as quest rewards. Meteorshards cannot be used in the test version. Gather meteorshards during quests to expand the scope of available activities or to unlock new quests.
Added Features Interact with other players using preset chat messages. Also supports voice chat. Enjoy these additional features:

      Sigils:

      _The Rogue's Sigil:
      Enables the bearer to preform a mid-air step after attacking.
      +20 Strength

      _The Pious's Sigil:
      Enables the bearer to cast two offensive speels in a row by expending more MP. Spell damage increases from about 180-210 to 300-330 per spell cast.
      -60 Strength, +99 Magic, and -99 Spirit.

      _The Tall's Sigil:
      Greatly increases the bearer's attack power but prevents them from casting curative spells. +500HP, -30MP, +60 Strength, -50 Magic, -50 Spirit.

      _The Oracles Sigil:
      Enable the bearer's curative spells to recover more HP across a wider range by expending more MP. Healing increase from about 180-220 to 220-250 and the range of the curative spell appears to increase by about 3x.

        Abilities:
        Parry:
        As Noctis but allows you and allies to link-warp strikes while temporarily preventing the enemy from moving.

        Protective Barrier:
        Creates a barrier that protects the caster and all allies behind the barrier. While in use you rotate but cannot otherwise move or attack.

        Offensive Spell:
        Casts a offensive (untyped?) spell that can be augmented by equiptment for varied effects.
        Consumes 15MP

        Curative Spell:
        Heal the caster and nearby allies.
        Consumes 30MP

        As Noctis
